Description:

We understand how hard it is to wait once you’ve seen that positive test! This scan offers early reassurance from as soon as 5 weeks and 5 days. We’ll confirm the presence of a heartbeat, estimate the gestation, and check for single or multiple pregnancies.

• Please arrive with a full bladder (drink 1.5 pints of clear fluid before your appointment).

• Gestations before 5 weeks + 5 days are usually not visible—please use the NHS gestation calculator to ensure accurate dating.

• Internal scans are included in this appointment. If you prefer not to have one, we recommend booking from 7 weeks onward.

• While children are welcome, we generally advise against bringing them to your first scan.
